European Future Energy Forum: a forward-looking topic
The 3rd European Future Energy Forum will be held from October 10 to 12 this year. The annual international conference and exhibition on renewable energies will be held for the first time in Geneva following editions in Bilbao and London.
The organizers opted for Geneva due in particular to its development and its attractiveness in the "cleantech" sector. The event is supported by the management of the Department of regional affairs, economy and health (DARES) and by the Office for the promotion of industry and technology (OPI).
André Schneider, a former director of the World Economic Forum, has brought together government and business leaders, non-governmental organizations, investors, innovators and visionaries in the cleantech field for three days of world-class debate on the theme "Making Innovation Happen for a Sustainable World." Mrs. Micheline Calmy-Rey, President of the Swiss Confederation, will take part in the inauguration and will also be a speaker.
A Swiss Pavilion will host a number of Swiss companies active in the sector at the exhibition, which will occupy a large portion of Hall 4.
Heads of government, visionaries, industry experts and specialists from around the world are expected to attend this event.
