For the first time in its history, the French Riding School will be presenting the Cadre Noir of Saumur as a show at Palexpo on April 15 and 16 this year.
The National Riding School invites the public to discover not only its capabilities and its efforts to serve equestrian sport but also its heritage. The Cadre Noir of Saumur is today the teaching staff of this school which operates under the supervision of the French Ministry of Sport. The aim of the gala show is to present the difficulties of French-style academic riding and the spectacular curvets, croupades and caprioles.
The Cadre Noir of Saumur’s gala evenings, accompanied by a classical orchestra, are real events and the expression of a sport, an art and a culture. Behind them a whole discipline emerges, with its history, its very French concept of riding, its breeding and heritage.
These presentations will be enhanced with a scenography and a choice of music that are there purely to showcase the work of the riding master, which remains fundamental.
The exceptional and unique presentations of the Cadre Noir of Saumur are part of France’s living heritage and contribute to the country’s outreach over and beyond its borders.
