Claude Membrez has taken over the position of Director General
Nominated in July by the Board of Directors of the Orgexpo foundation, responsible for the management and promotion of GENEVA PALEXPO, Claude Membrez took over the position of Director General on Monday November 1st.

Salon de la Brocante : l'objet dans tous ses états
Du 25 au 28 novembre prochain, le Salon Genevois de la Brocante et de l'Antiquité invite collectionneurs et amateurs à découvrir " L'objet détourné " sous toutes ses formes à GENEVA PALEXPO. Décortiqué, retravaillé, l'objet classique se transforme par exemple, en meuble avant-gardiste et surprenant. Le Musée de l'Automobile de Genève et L'Association suisse pour l'Etude des Armes et Armures s'associent au thème et présentent une exposition d'armes anciennes, dont une sélection « d'objets détournés ». Une exposition de patchworks, appelés quilts amish et réalisés à partir de tissus de récupération, sera également présentée en exclusivité suisse. Pour habiller le Salon disposé en étoile autour de deux espaces d'animation, l'Ecole de Décors de Théâtre de Genève a imaginé un décor grandiose.

Brocante et Antiquité " new look " à GENEVA PALEXPO
Pour sa 32e édition, le Salon Genevois de la Brocante et de l'Antiquité propose deux grandes premières : d'une part une disposition des stands inédite et conviviale conçue comme un village dans un décor grandiose, d'autre part un thème original, " L'objet détourné ". Cet effort de renouveau et ce souci de qualité, notamment par la présence d'un expert et d'un code d'éthique, ainsi que des animations, un concours, une vaste couverture médiatique, séduisent les exposants, qui annoncent leur participation avec enthousiasme.

Luc Argand, future president of the Show
Mr. Luc Argand will be president of the Geneva International Motor Show from July 1st 2005. He will succeed Claude F. Sage, whose term of office will end on June 30th 2005 in compliance with his commitment to preside over the 2005 show, marking the centenary of the first national show and the 75th international show, on the theme « The Geneva Show: 100 years of automobile progress ».

Claude Membrez is new director general of Orgexpo
The Executive Committee of the Orgexpo foundation, responsible for the management and promotion of GENEVA PALEXPO, has named Claude Membrez for the post of director general. He will take over the position by the end of 2004.

EBACE 2004 finishes on a record high - EBACE 2005 and 2006 will be held at GENEVA PALEXPO
The organisers of EBACE 2004, the European Business Aviation Association (EBAA) and the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA), announced record figures with some 6,500 visitors (+ 8.4%), among them, the EU President Romano Prodi, and 247 exhibitors who occu-pied 18% more exhibition space than last year. 36 aircraft were exhibited on the tarmac adjoin-ing Hall 7. The dates for the 2005 and 2006 shows have already been announced at GENEVA PALEXPO.

75th Geneva International Motor Show
From 3rd to 13th March 2005 the Geneva International Motor Show will be celebrating both the 75th international event and the centenary of the first Swiss national show. As of today Exhibitors can register for the show, which will be marked by numerous special events and focus on the theme: «The Geneva Motor Show : 100 years of automotive progress».

Inventions Show at Geneva Palexpo a great success
Geneva Palexpo is delighted with the success of the largest exhibition in the world dedicated to inventions. Its international image, increasingly professional direction and the significant media interest shown were all part of Geneva Palexpo's strategy.

GENEVA PALEXPO: appointment of an acting general manager
The Board of Directors of Orgexpo, which is in charge of managing and promoting GENEVA PALEXPO, has appointed Mr. Walter Kobler acting General Manager in order to temporarily fill the position left vacant since the departure of Mr. Bruno Lurati in mid-February. As a member of the Top 50 experts' network, he has spent more than 10 years as chief executive of a Vaudois industrial company listed on the stock exchange. Walter Kobler will be in charge of opera-tional management of Orgexpo; his term of office will end when a new general manager takes up the position, an appointment that will be made in the coming months.

LIFE² : A NEW SHOW FOR GENEVA PALEXPO!
The President of the Board of Directors and the Marketing Director of GENEVA PALEXPO recently signed a partnership agreement with the exhibition organiser, Artexis, to hold the Health and Wellbeing Show, LIFE² , at Geneva. The first Geneva show will take place from the 29th of April to the 1st of May 2005, the main theme being "stay young...for longer".

GENEVA PALEXPO 2003: on target
In 2003, Geneva Palexpo saw the opening and commissioning of the new Hall 6, the smooth progress of most of the fifteen or so exhibitions, conferences and sporting events on the calendar, the signing of contracts for new partnerships and events and the continuation of the management reorganisation. Over 1,400,000 visitors came through our doors this year, including the thirty millionth visitor since 1982.

Departure of Bruno Lurati
The President of the Orgexpo Board of Directors, Mr. Christian Meyer, today announced that because of differences of opinion, the Board has decided to terminate the employment contract of Mr. Bruno Lurati, Managing Director since 1st July 2000, with immediate effect.
