| SMSI at Geneva Palexpo: mission accomplished |
| Called upon to accommodate the first ever UN world summit to be held in Switzerland, Geneva Palexpo rose perfectly to the challenge and once again demonstrated the versatility of its infrastructure. Conference rooms, exhibition space, restaurants, parking and access, draconian security measures: everything went off perfectly, to the complete satisfaction of those who attended the summit. |

| Geneva Palexpo: satisfactory first half to 2003 |
| With approximately 950,000 admissions during the first half of 2003, visitors to Geneva Palexpo remained below the one million mark, a satisfactory result when taking into account a generally unfavourable climate (Iraqi war, SARS, economic outlook). The most significant event was the commissioning of the new Hall 6 over the motorway. Looking towards the future, a change of legal status for Geneva Palexpo, the construction of the new conference centre and the continued modernisation of management methods are all on the agenda. The second half will be particularly marked by the ITU World Telecom and World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) events. |
